Hi I'm Michelle Walters the creator of VeggieHeads. Born and raised in the city of Atlanta, I was a smart but very timid young girl who would have been devoured by the ways of the world if it had not been for the pleasures of indulging in food that was absolutley horid. Food helped me cope with everyday living which is why I had become a chubby child and a heavy adult. At the age of 22 I was in a car accident that would change my life forever... for the better. While in chiropractic therapy, the doctor infromed me that my blood pressure was consistantly high and that I would have to be on meds for the rest my life. I simply said no. I've had enough. I stopped eating fast food. This great first step led to the halt of ingesting fried food, refined sugars, the over consumption of yeast products, and dairy products which led me to my massive weight lost of 70 pounds. Unfortunatly, due to all of those brain damaging foods I had consumed along with the crippling challenges in the world, I was also diagnosed with a mental health disorder that almost made me want to give up on life but, I still couldn't give up. It became part of my fight to live life with this disorder while remaining perfectly sane without the consumption of medications. I did extensive research on natural cures for  obesity and mental health disorders that has been very beneficial to my transformation, but I couldn't stop there because I knew I wanted to become a VeggieHead due to of all of the new found information that I had acquired through my research so, I gradually divorced meat over the coarse of  1 year and a half by eating small portions of meat, cutting out meat for a day and doing a meat fast for a week every other month.  Now I'm a VeggieHead, living healthy & well and I'm ready to share the wealth of knowledge that I've gathered over the past years. " It is officially my duty to assist with transforming and revitalizing anyone I come in contact with who is receptive to the life changing information that is brought forth."

WHY IT MATTERS

Everyday inner city kids are mistreated, used and abused. Most times they have no resources, feel no love and is condemned for expressing themselves. Their parent or parents have minimal time for them because they're trying to create a life for themselves and they're offspring... chasing live the American dream. So that leaves them vulnerable to the ways of this wicked world. The television raises them, their less fortunate friends share the negative teachings and energies and the gang recruit them. I am striving to create the great escape. In time NU Culture Arts will emerge with the purpose of molding and changing lives for the betterment of our future in on this planet. NU Culture Arts Center and Museum is a non-profit organization that is being formed to provide a unique and much needed arts program for inner city less fortunate kids.
